Proposed Standard Templates for Reporting GI Motility Tests in Korea

Abstract

|
The following recommendations were developed to give some direction to physicians as to the appropriate report of gastrointestinal (GI) motility test results. These recommendations are based on the review of literature, comparison of reports of several laboratories in Korea and consensus opinion of the group. Standard templates for reporting GI motility test results were developed by interaction among the experts of GI motility tests, representatives from the Korean Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility Scientific Committee and Education Committee. The first drafts made by junior experts were compiled under the senior editorial supervision. None of these recommended standard reports are perfect, nor should be used as an obligation in clinical practice. Therefore, all of these reports are needed to be revised subsequently.
